THE HIDDEN GEM OF THE KANPUR CITY : SHER SHAH SURI TANK

Sher Shah Suri Tank is located at Jajmau, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Once upon a time, this tank is considered as "Suicidal Tank" because many people suicide in this tank. People who living around this Tank they decided to collect amount for tank's renovation without any Government help and re-built the boundaries and fencing also . At the mid of a tank there is a fountain with Led lights also which gives pleasant atmosphere & good vibes. There is one secret tunnel which connect from Ramadevi to Agra but now it's closed. At the side of Tank shelter is made for Rabbit and Duck. Many different kind of Fishes and Tortoise live inside the tank. Visitors come at morning & evening for walk & also feed creatures.

There is No Entry charge.

There is also a Lord Shiva's Temple which is adjacent to Sher Shah Suri Tank. Shiva Devotees chant mantras such as OM NAMAH SHIVAYA & recite prayers to Lord Shiva. Shiva's Devotee seek to connect with lord with all aspects of Life.

There is also a Lord Jagannath's Temple here. Lord Jagannath's devotees seek to live pure & virtuous life. one of the most mantras is Hare Krishna. His devotee also fasting in the month of Kartik which purifies body and mind.
